The Stachler family at daughter Emily’s wedding.

My wife, Patti, and I are still living in Mt. Washington, which is great because it is less than 10 minutes from my office located in the Lincoln School Building in the Columbia Tusculum neighborhood. All of our children, with the exception of the youngest, Nick, have “flown the coop” and are out in the world making their own ways. Emily is a nurse at The Christ Hospital. She recently got married to a wonderful guy, Brian Maloney, and they live in Clifton. Tyler lives in Anderson Township and is running his own business called “Ohio Champions Basketball.” He is enjoying life training basketball players at all levels from grade school to the pros. T.J. bought his own home in Fairfax, Ohio and is working for a wholesale sportswear company in Mason, Ohio. Nick is a junior at St. Xavier High School where he is a member of the Varsity Golf Team, and is aspiring to play golf in college. Needless to say, Patti and I are spending many long hours following him around the golf courses in the Greater Cincinnati Area and beyond, but we really enjoy it.

After I graduated from Law School, I stayed in Cincinnati and obtained an attorney position with a small firm in Anderson Township. During this time, I met husband Pat through Margaret and Chris Hayes and moved to Greenville Ohio in 1991. I obtained an attorney position with Darke County Job & Family Services in Greenville, Ohio and the rest is history.

After law school, I went to work for Strauss & Troy, practicing in the areas of corporate and securities litigation and regulation. I left S&T in 1998 and followed a dream to open my own investment advisory firm. I eventually partnered with another UC Law graduate, Tim Jabin. We successfully built a firm that provided fee-based asset management services to more than 100 clients. The firm still exists today but in a much smaller fashion.

I now work for The Christ Hospital and am responsible for the performance of our employed clinicians across all regulatory programs and value-based contracts. Basically, my job is to make sure we don’t incur any payment penalties and maximize revenue incentives as much as possible. Contracts and federal regulations still seem to be a big part of my work life!

Hi Classmates! I moved to Jacksonville, Florida after graduation to take a job with a labor and employment boutique firm. I practiced labor and employment law exclusively for 20 years, the last 15 of which were with Rogers Towers, P.A., where I was head of the department. Although my plan was to spend only a few years in Jacksonville, I am still here! However, I retired 10 years ago to stay home with our two sons, then aged 8 and 10.

Jack is now 21 and a junior at the University of Florida, and Marko is 18 and a freshman at Florida Atlantic University in Boca. My husband, Mark, and I have been married 24 years, and we have been “empty nesters” for one whole month and, yes, I’m still adjusting. Mark is Vice Chairman and Chief Legal Officer of the ATP (men’s professional tennis), so he travels like crazy all over the place.

Now that I have rotated off my kids’ various school boards, and hung up my football and basketball team mom positions, I am looking forward to traveling a bit with my husband. I cannot wait to see those of you who are attending our 30th…and I will miss those who cannot make it!

P.S. Family picture was taken last month at the wedding of my middle brother who got married for the first time at the age of 51 to an amazing woman ??

I am a partner at Barron Peck Bennie & Schlemmer and focus my practice on workers’ compensation, social security disability, personal injury, and estate planning. Currently, I am a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and Ohio Association For Justice, and a past chair of the CBA Worker’s Compensation Committee. I am an OSBA certified Specialist and an Ohio Super Lawyer in Ohio Workers’ Compensation Law.

I live in Blue Ash with my wife Sarah and my sons Jordan and Jeremy. My sons and I enjoy playing sports; I coached their basketball, baseball, and soccer teams and served as President of the Sycamore Athletic Club for Youth Basketball. I also golf, and bike ride with Sarah.

My family and I support our community by volunteering at the Mayerson JCC, Wise Temple, and Operation Give Back. In my free time, I’m on a personal quest to read the entire Harry Bosch series by Michael Connelly.

I am still serving as a court manager for our local Common Pleas Court (General Trial Division) where I manage all sorts of aspects of the court’s operation like case management, human resources, budgeting, grant writing, media and bar relations, project management, security, strategic planning and probation. Every day is different! The Supreme Court of Ohio allows me to teach a few courses to judges and court administrators.

On the personal side, Paul and and I have 4 kids–William, 27 (wife Taylor), Robert, 23, Richard, 20, and Kathleen, 18–one of which plans to apply to UC Law late this year. I serve on a few boards and volunteer for some community organizations. I am a big sister in the local Big Brothers Big Sisters program to a 15 year old. Paul and I have 2 dogs and 3 cats and are learning to enjoy our new (as of August 22) Empty Nest!
